The Board has begun the planning process for the Presidential succession and looks forward to sharing updates with the Mount and broader Newburgh community as information is finalized.
The Board of Trustees is committed to an open and transparent dialogue and process of collaboration with all stakeholders of the College, including the community of Newburgh. In particular, the Board reaffirms its commitment to shared governance, transparency, and the appropriate fulfillment of its legal and fiduciary responsibilities.
The Board regrets that serious family responsibilities have caused Dr. Daly to resign, and they are most grateful to her for the significant contributions that she has made to the College.
During her tenure as President, MSMC has increased enrollment, exceeded annual advancement goals, improved retention and increased on campus residency to record levels.
Throughout her tenure and with the full support of the Board of Trustees, a renewed focus on shared governance has been established. Working together we have improved communication and collaboration by increasing the College’s full participation in shared governance.
A Trustee and Faculty committee was established and met multiple times to discuss the concerns and needs of Mount Saint Mary College. Faculty, Administration, Trustees, and other stakeholders participated in a fully collaborative process in the examination and approval of the Strategic Plan.
The Board of Trustees looks forward to further developing a strong future for the College.
